dc.descriptionThe article deals with the activities of the Secret сommittees on Uniate affairs that existed in 1835–1839. These consultative bodies characterised the era of Emperor Nicholas I reign and were introduced to consider the problems occurred within their competence and to develop the ways of their settlement. The practice of laying the foundation of all types of the Secret сommittees became widespread. Some of the Secret committees were introduced to consider the problems related to religion and religious policy of the Russian government. The Secret сommittees concerned the Greek Catholic Church affairs in the Russian Empire are considered among such institutions. The subject of the article is the personal staff of these committees that was significantly transformed. The article contains biographical information on the members of these committees and the reasons for the appointment of some of them. If the existing documents allow the issues regarded by some of these committees are considered briefly. The article concludes that the Secret сommittees on the Uniate affairs had the same fate as many other secret committees of that era. Fundamental changes in their staff and the difference of the issues regarded resulted in the fact that the Secret committees on the Uniate affairs did not develop and pursue definite and long-term policy in regard to the Greek Catholic Church in the Russian Empire, participating in the reunion rather incidentally-
dc.description.abstractСтатья посвящена деятельности Секретных комитетов по униатским делам, существовавших в 1835-1839 гг. Эти совещательные органы, бывшие характерной чертой эпохи правления императора Николая I, были призваны рассматривать возникавшие в сфере их компетенции проблемы и вырабатывать возможные варианты их разрешения. Автор приходит к выводу, что Секретные комитеты по униатским делам повторили судьбу иных Секретных комитетов рассматриваемой эпохи. В силу целого ряда причин Секретные комитеты по униатским делам не стали разработчиками и проводниками отчетливой и долговременной политики в отношении Греко-Католической Церкви в Российской империи, лишь фрагментарно участвуя в деле воссоединения.ru_RU
